BFI Education. The British Film Institute's office of Education produces various print and media resources which are made available for classroom use.

Black Film Center Archives--Indiana University. A repository of films and related materials by and about African Americans." Its holdings list of over 700 films and video cassettes, as well as archival photographs. Canadian Association of Media Education Associations (CAMEO). Founded in 1992 as an association of Canadian media literacy groups from across Canada. The goal of CAMEO is to advocate, promote and develop media literacy in Canada.

Commercialism in Education Research Unit. Investigates the use of advertising and product promotion in schools.

Center on Blacks and the Media (CBM) Monitors the Black image in the media, is an independent, nonprofit, research-based, change-oriented center. CBM offers tools and techniques to understand media issues, to correct imbalances in the media, and to empower the Black community in relation to the media.
Center for Democracy and Technology. Offers resources and information about the state of free speech and civil liberties on the Internet.

Center for Educational Priorities. An advocacy group with the mission to bring greater national attention to the priorities of education in all areas of American life, especially in the media. The Center is a collaboration between George Mason University, the American Social History Project, and the Center for Media and Learning at the City College of New York, and attempts to respond to the way new media are changing the teaching and studying of history.

Children's Media Project. The Children's Media Project specializes in teacher training on both a technical and hands-on level. We train teachers to incorporate media production into New York state standards for curriculum, while also developing intensive programs in self-expression through the media arts for at-risk young people. CineMedia (Australia). Established at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia to provide individuals interested in the cinema and media a comprehensive access point to the growing resources available on the Internet. The CineMedia site contains over 6000 major links to other global sites (which are then linked to thousands of resources on the Net)

Citizens for Media Literacy. A non-profit, public-interest organization linking media literacy with the concepts and practices of citizenship. CML promotes citizens' responsibility for free speech rights; provides assistance to citizen activists and journalists on issues related to the Freedom of Information Act and Open Records laws; publishes media analysis and criticism; and promotes public access to the media environment, especially via cable TV, low-power FM

Community Media Workshop. A Chicago-based nonprofit organization that acts as a liaison between local organizations and the media. The first organization of this kind in the U.S. Holds public forums to discuss media issues.

The Computer Museum. Presents the past, present, and future of the information revolution, from mammoth vacuum-tube computers to state-of-the-art technology, through over 100 interactive exhibits, including a giant walk-through computer, displays, films and animation and other exhibits reflecting developments in interactive media.
